We left the Eastvale area and headed towards Big bear. At Green Valley Lake, we turned left. At the GPS coordinates above, you will find Crab Flats Road (aka 3N10). From there, we headed deper in to the woods.

This trip takes you through various levels of terrain. The first-third and last-third are pretty easy to do, even with a stock 4x4. The middle section, Dishpan Springs, is more difficult. A low-range transfer case and 31" tires are aminimum. All of us had 33' tires on our vehicles and we still boiunced over some rocks.

This is a full ay trip for us. It takes about 1.5 hours to get to the trail head and about 1 hour for us to get home. The actual time on the dirt was about 7 hours, including a stop at Deep Creek Crossing ( 34°16'5.78"N, 117° 7'44.16"W)for lunch.
